In this story everybody is in a perfect world. A kid named Jonas is the main character of this story. The Giver is like Jonas’s boss and helps him with his assignment. In the story The Giver everything is perfect and nothing goes wrong. Everything is assigned to the people and the people seem to have no feelings, but they get everything they need.
The message of this book is if Jonas is a perfect world or not. I think he is not. He gets a perfect world but, he doesn’t get a choice in anything and has no freedom. That’s the way it is for everybody in the community though. If you have no freedom or choice your world would not be perfect. You have a piece missing so it would not be whole it would only be partly perfect.
I thought this book was one of the best books I ever read. It kept me interested the whole time while I read it. I would give this book four stars. I give it that because it wasn’t boring and made you want to read more and more of it everyday. This book would be perfect for anyone that likes to read books that are about sometime in the future.
